Dublin City and County

Almost the same thing in modern times.. but back then, it was different.

The county was still rural farms and the centre compact but changed with the increasing wealth of the British Empire and the industrialisation of cities and towns in the British Isles.

There was also an increase, preceeding that from the famine, as refugees looked for any kind of salvation. This is despite an ongoing exodus of folk to England and other countries.

dublin_map

The map shows the parishes in county with purple names and in the city the churches with purple circles where Croe names are found in the registers.

This is ongoing research or needing development for production here. Even after production not all records are displayed as it can be hard to make trees from the family groups. This is the case in all counties, the charts are jsut the best trees. Please enquire if you think you have records here and I will check the data.
