Four Brothers- four slides, with help from other researchers - shown in orange.

I had a big collection of names in the east of Clare in the Parish of Killaloe (note an enthusiast has transcribed the whole of the RC Parish registers in Killaloe and they are publicly available and searchable on the Clare Library website). Eventually, I decided that there may be four brothers in this townland but there was only evidence for two.... However, in America and Australia descendants had researched these families already and one tree stated that there were four brothers. Both sources came with family lore and records in the new countries, supporting the brother story. The main problem looking from the Irish perspective is records only start in 1829 for this parish - marriages and earlier children are missed and because of emigration never recorded, until they arrived in the new land.

In Memory of Michelle Leddin who, in the days before online records, communicated and helped others find their roots in the process of producing her own tree. When I did my research I rediscovered this info and the trees she left behind on various sites.

I had saved many messages from Bulletin Boards because I knew these people had personal stories and info that might be lost, The online data doesn’t have it all?
